December 1999 There is LOTS of interest in Seabuckthorn. The huge amount of money to be made growing it may be part of the reason. Reports vary from $10,000 to $100,000. net per acre per year starting after year 4. We have very marginal agricultural land and over 4000 seedlings planted and growing, even after several heavy frosts, they were still slowly growing with no frost damage. There is a snow cover now and one wonders if underneath, the seabuckthorn is still growing. We'll see in March/April. Growing with the times, we are now offering : One year old (non-sexed seedlings) for $6.00 each (orders under 100 plants) $3.00 per plant after that. (Canadian funds) You will need around 1800 unsexed plants per acre in order to end up with 900 females and 150 males.(1 male for every 6 females is the suggested ratio ). For the first time: We are offering 2 year old rooted, heavy producing, Indian Summer Female cuttings proven to grow in our Canadian climate. A limited quantity will be available in spring. The price: $10.00 Canadian Each order right now and not be disappointed Email us your order and we'll email or phone you with the total price depending where you live. We will require 1/2 the money down to confirm the order and the balance before shipping in April/May. Certified cheque or money order accepted. Uncertified cheques accepted but they take longer to process. We are offering till they are gone: Hippophae Rhamnoides seeds: $40.00 per 1000 seeds
