How to do a Toyota Landcruiser Rear Tub Repair

If you have any questions left unanswered please email at [email protected]

First you remove the rear tub bolts.  These can often be stubborn and sometimes you need to burn them with an acetylene torch

Cut the tub bolts off

Next you lay a stip of 3/4" masking tape along the bottom of the roof rail.  This serves as a guide for the cutting process and ensures a straight line.  After the tape is in place, it is time to cut...  We use a 1/8" cutting disc on a small grinder.  The disc makes a clean cut with little to no metal distortion.

**Important**

At this point, if the roof is still on the cruiser, it should be supported by a board on the back bumper to prevent malalignment of the front door jams.
