How to do a Toyota Landcruiser Rear Tub Repair If you have any questions left unanswered please email at [email protected] First you remove the rear tub bolts. These can often be stubborn and sometimes you need to burn them with an acetylene torch Next you lay a stip of 3/4" masking tape along the bottom of the roof rail. This serves as a guide for the cutting process and ensures a straight line. After the tape is in place, it is time to cut... We use a 1/8" cutting disc on a small grinder. The disc makes a clean cut with little to no metal distortion. At this point, if the roof is still on the cruiser, it should be supported by a board on the back bumper to prevent malalignment of the front door jams. Click here for the next phase of the project
